Extra! Extra!!! Read all abou it!

REVIEW!!!!!! So ‘FLY BOYS’ is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time!!!!!!! It is definitely going on my top movies list! So, the main character is Blaine Rawlings (James Franco), he was a rancher until the bank foreclosed on his ranch. And the police were after him because he took a bit of his anger out on one of the bankers with a little punch. The movie is ‘loosely based on a true story’. Interpret as you like. The squadron is the Lafayette Escadrille. The first American pilots to fight in WWI, they joined the French Air Force, many not knowing anything about flying as planes had only been around for a few years. It has Jean Reno as the French Commander, and I didn’t wait around to see all the credits, but the rest of the actors were great too! I would definitely recommend this movie! You may even learn a little French.

I went to the UCLA vs. Washington Huskies game this weekend. One of my cousins plays for UCLA, so my uncle gets tickets to all the game. Anyway 3 of us were invited to go!!! I’ve got to tell ya, it’s a little intimidating walking through a sea of purple shirts wearing something ‘baby blue’. Unfortunately, UCLA lost. It was the first time in 5 years that U of W had beaten them, so their fans were totally going crazy! Of course there were the nice opposing fans, and the horribly crude opposing fans cussing up a storm. And boy did they think they were quite clever with some of their rhymes. We got to see my cousin that we hadn’t seen in at least 9 years. It’s weird when the last time you saw someone they were probably 4” taller than you, and now he’s about a foot taller than me. Yup, about 6’8”, the dudes just huge!!!! But nice as can be! We got to visit for a few minutes after the game before he had to get on the bus. Exactly the same Brian we knew before! So, the next time you watch a UCLA game, watch for #68 and be sure to cheer!
