5 to Chocolate!

Have you ever driven by a fast-food restaurant, and seen all of the promotional gimmicks they do? I have, and then I pull in, and proceed to buy whatever I need to in order to win! As an example for you all, my family has gone to McDonald’s for the ‘Monopoly Peel and Win’ game. Each peel has a code on it which you enter in their web-site along with your e-mail address so they can totally spam you, and presto! You have a chance to win! I now have an over abundance of cell phone games, ring tones, and digital prints which I will most likely never use.

Along with the Monopoly peels are the Best Buy peels worth $1-$5. Predominantly $1. Which are a total pain to use, because if you read the microscopic print found on all sets of rules. You can only use $3 at a time. I’m not sure how that works with the $5 ones……..*furrows brow and looks thoughtful. Very difficult for a blonde.*

Oh, and you can’t use them to buy anything you might want! So, if you’ve actually got 7,000 of them, you can’t get the plasma! That’s right Joe Schmoe! You can buy 7,000 candy bars in groups of 3. Lucky You!!!!!!!

Speaking of candy, Chocolate is totally the best, and I started craving it since I mentioned it! By far my favorite is the standard Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bar. The perfect blend of whatever is in a chocolate bar! Sure, Dark may be better for you, but it’s waaaayyyyy tooooooo bitter! It’s like sucking on a spoon full of Cocoa! (It’s pronounced like Coco, but the real spelling is Cocoa. Often over looked until you’re in a crowdful of people, ready to embarrass yourself.)

Update!

So, I was like….. and they were like…. and then I was like….and then they were like……..Whatever!!!!!

Sorry, I just had to get my Valley roots shaken out a bit!

On Wednesday Jared and I had about 2 hours to kill between my piano lesson and choir. Jared suggested we go to Target to see if they had any cheap chairs we could put in our rooms. Because sometimes it’s just really nice to ESCAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Much as we love our family. =P

We didn’t see any chairs we liked, and we can’t go into a store and not stop by the Electronics section. The first thing we always browse is the music! We were looking at the New Releases, and unfortunately for me, Target has really good prices on cds! I picked up Tony Bennet’s Duet cd, John Legend’s Christmas cd, and Jim Brickman’s new Christmas Romance cd! I almost started to wander into the normal music section, when I remembered I was already carrying 3 CDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Darf!!!!!!! Jared had found one himself, and I made us leave the store before I ran out of money!

I went shopping for the dress I am going to wear to Nate’s wedding. I ended up getting one that is a very pretty burgundy color. It falls to just below the knee, and has cute little flutter cap sleeves. Oh, but here’s the best part….It is the smallest size I have ever bought!!!! Smaller than when I was 14!!! Don’t worry, I don’t have any eating disorders. I like cookies and pizza too much for anything like that! I got some pretty black jewelry that goes great with it. I didn’t find any shoes I liked, but I have a pair at home that will work wonderfully! So, now I can relax. Aaahhhh!

Update on upcoming cds!

Josh Groban’s new album ‘Awake’ will be released on November 7th! His web-site has the track listing, and links to some sample tracks!

Jim Brickman’s new album is titled ‘Escape’ and features all original songs. It has already been released and is currently in stores. You can check out his web-site for dates for his Christmas tour.

Il Divo’s new album is titled ‘Siempre’ and will be released on November 21st! The track listing is on their website.

If you like standards, I would recommend ‘Tony Bennet’s Classic American Duets’ cd. I’m not a big fan of some of the artists he sings with, but the songs are all really good! That is currently in stores, and Target had it for $11.99.
